BIOGRAPHY

Irit Honora Stark performs extensively in her native land, Israel and in Europe; she sang with The Israel Symphony Orchestra, Schleswig Holstein Festival Orchestra, London Soloist Chamber Orchestra, The Tel Aviv Soloist Ensemble and other.

Her operatic repertoire includes roles such as Salome, Chrysothemis, Fidelio, Ariadne, Elettra, Elizabeth and Jenufa. Her Chamber repertoire is mainly focused on the romantic period with composers such as R. Strauss, Brahms, Duparc, Shönberg and his contemporaries.

​

Stark received her Bachelor degree in Music with distinction at the Rubin Academy of Music Jerusalem. She than continued her studies with Prof. Vera Rozsa in London, followed by Post Graduate opera studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester England and since continued with Prof. Tamar Rachum Tel Aviv.

 

Stark is the recipient of several international awards for her singing.


Stark studied Flamenco Dance in Granada, Sevilla and Madrid as well as acting in Nissan Nativ Jerusalem and Morley College in London. She also played the mandolin for many years and won the Jerusalem fund award.
