Zefunot Culture introduced Eyal together with the soprano, Daniela Skorka, to its audience in 2016.
BIOGRAPHY
Eyal Leber has been playing the guitar since the age of seven.
In 1988, aged 16, he won the first National Guitar Competition held in Tel Aviv. An achievement he repeated again In 1990.
Eyal received scholarships from the America-Israel Culture Foundation between the years 1988 and 1995, during which time, he studied Flamenco music independently. In 1998 he was awarded a special scholarship from the America-Israel Culture Foundation which enabled him to study Flamenco guitar in Granada-Spain. His Flamenco teachers included Emilio Amaya and Antonio Heredia.
Eyal is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
Currently, Eyal teaches guitar and performs regularly as a soloist. He is recognised for his performances in the Flamenco, World Music and Ancient Music genres and performs frequently with the Barrocade Ensemble.
