Zefunot Culture introduced Hed to its audience at a concert featuring renowned violinist, Vadim Gluzman and pianist Angela Yoffe at a concert at the Zefunot home in February 2008.

BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1989 in Tel-Aviv, Hed asked to learn how to play the violin at the age of four. As a boy soprano he performed as a soloist with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra as well as other Israeli orchestras and choirs.

 

Winner of Scholarships and awards including the America Israel Cultural Foundation (in the fields of violin, composition and chamber music), the Verbier Academy APCAV prize and Live Music Now scholarships, Hed graduated from the music academies in Jerusalem, Munich and Zurich, where he studied with Ana Chumachenco and Nora Chastain. In the years 2013-2015 he was part of the Orchestra Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, receiving the Hubermann scholarship.

 

His musical interests range from early to modern music and collaborations with other forms of art, solo and chamber music as well as orchestral playing. A student of the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg in the classes of Reinhard Goebel and Igor Ozim.

 

In the season 2015/2016 Hed is a member of EUBO and the OAE Experience scheme. He was recently appointed first associate concertmaster of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.
