Eden Agranat-Meged, piano | Zefunot Culture
ZEFUNOT SCHOLARSHIP

Eden received a scholarship from Zefunot Culture in 2015 and a travel scholarship to attend the Morningside Music Bridge Summer Course in 2017.

BIOGRAPHY

Eden Agranat-Meged was born in Jerusalem in 2001. A student of the Israel Arts and Science Academy High School, Jerusalem, he started his piano studies at age 8 with Anat Paul at the Hassadna Conservatory in Jerusalem and from 2014 studies with Adela Umansky at the Kfar Saba Conservatory.

 

Eden won the first prize in the Pnina Salzman Piano Competition both in 2015 (12-15 age category) and in 2017 (15-19 age category). At the "Piano Forever" Piano Competition, Ashdod Eden won the second prize (2011, 2012) and the third prize (2014, 2016).

 

Eden is a recipient of the America - Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarships annually since 2012 and received the Zefunot Culture Scholarship in 2015. He won the excellence award in memory of Maestro Yuri Ahronovitch 2013/2014.

 

Eden was chosen to play as soloist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra in the Concerto Course with Emanuel Ax. He won the  Morningside Music Bridge audition for the International Course at the New England Conservatory in collaboration with Zefunot Culture. Eden was chosen to take part in the piano excellence program of the Jerusalem Music Center with guidance of the president of the center Murray Perahia.

 

Eden studies in the Aldwell Young Piano Masters Project, the Jerusalem Academy Conservatory. He participated in the Tel Hai International Piano Master Classes summer course. Eden played in various ensembles also in the Goldman Chamber Music Program.

 

Eden played as soloist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra with conductor Frederic Chaslin, the Haifa Symphony Orchestra with conductor Vag Papian, the Israel Stage Orchestra with conductor Roni Porat, and the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra with conductor Yaron Gottfried.

 

Eden has played in recitals and concerts in Israel and abroad including the Arthur Rubinstein Society’s Piano Festival, concerts at the Jerusalem Theater, Tel Aviv Museum, Elma Arts Center, Mormon University, Jerusalem Music Center, Felicia Blumenthal Center, Beth Daniel, Eden Tamir Music Center and more.

 

He participated in masterclasses with Murray Perahia,Tatiana Zelikman, Menahem Pressler, Craig Shepard, Joseph Kalichstein, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Emanuel Ax, Jerome Leventhal, Boris Slutzky, Sonia Rubinsky, Matti Raekallio, Xiaohan Wang, Oxana Yablonskaya, Ephraim Laor, Ilana Vered, Asaf Zohar, Tomer Lev, Emanuel Krasowsky, Ron Regev, Alexander Tamir and Arie Vardi.
