BIOGRAPHY

Born in Beer-Sheva in 1986, Asaf studied with Emanuel Krasovsky at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at the University of Tel Aviv (Israel). In addition, he studied composition with Professor Andre Hajdu. n 2010-2011 he studied piano with Professor Dimitri Bashkirov at The School of Music - Reina Sofia.

 

Asaf received scholarships from The Albéniz Foundations and Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Spanish International Cooperation for Development. He participated in master classes with teachers such as Dimitri Bashkirov and Ferenc Rados, Menahem Pressler, Mikhail Voskresensky, Emanuel Ax and Homero Francesch.

Asaf won first prizes in competitions such as "Lions Israel Musical Competition for Piano", the "Kol Hamusika (Voice of Music) Young Artists Competition, Jerusalem and "Aviv Competitions" in Israel. He was awarded scholarships for excellence in piano and composition by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.

 

Asaf's performances as a soloist in several European countries and in Russia and Israel led him to work with orchestras such as the Rishon LeZion Symphony Orchestra, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Israel Sinfonietta Beer-Sheva and with conductors Uriel Segal, Vag Papian and Doron Salomon among others. He also participated in festivals in Israel, in the "Musical Kremlin" (Moscow), in the "Queen Violin" (Moldova) and "IMS Prussia Cove" (England), and was recorded on Russian television and Israeli television in his role as performer and composer.

 

As a student Asaf was part of the Duo Kreutzer, with Professor Márta Gulyás.
