ZEFUNOT SCHOLARSHIP

Tom Zalmanov was first introduced to Zefunot Culture's in 2009 and again recently in 2016. He was awarded scholarships in 2009, 2010 and 2016.

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Kfar Saba in 1999, Tom commenced piano studies at the age of five. From a young age, he won prizes at national competitions including: “The Young Artist”, “Piano Forever” and The Pnina Zaltzman Competition.

Tom is a regular participant in masterclasses at the Jerusalem Music Center and takes part in the Young Piano Master Project at the Edward Aldwell Center in Jerusalem.

​

He regularly performs as a soloist, in chamber music ensembles and in a piano duo. The venues he has performed at in Israel include: The Jerusalem Theatre, The Israel Museum, "The Voice of Music" radio channel and The Eden Tamir Music Center. Tom has performed for Jewish communities and at Embassies in several countries overseas.

 

Performances as a soloist with orchestras include: The Ashdod Symphony Orchestra, The Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra and the Alicante University Philharmonic Orchestra in Spain.

Tom is a recipient of scholarships from the American-Israel Culture Foundation and Zefunot Culture (Secrets of Culture).
