BIOGRAPHY
Ibrahim Boulos, born December 1999 in Nazareth, Israel, started to study the violin at the age of six with Nabeel Abboud Ashkar, with whom he continues to study at the Polyphony Conservatory.
He took part in the Divan B (Andalusia orchestra) in Spain with conductors Daniel Barenboim and Daniel Cohen. He has performed in concert tours of the USA and Europe as a member of Polyphony’s quartets and ensembles. He is a member of The Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and also performs with the Galilee orchestra where he performed solo under the baton of Yishai Steckler in December 2015.
Ibrahim participates regularly in workshops at the Jerusalem Music Center and has performed in masterclasses given by Miriam Fried, Asi Matathias and Ittai Shapira. He attended the Keshet Eilon Mastercourse in the summers of 2015 and 2016.
Ibrahim is a recipient of scholarships from the America Israel Cultural Foundation (2013 and 2015) and Zefunot Culture (2015 and 2016).
