ZEFUNOT SCHOLARSHIP

Zefunot Culture introduced Nahar Eliaz to its audience and awarded her a scholarship in 2017.

BIOGRAPHY

Nahar Eliaz born February 2006, started to play cello at the age of 5 studying with Bluma Sarid at the Israel Conservatory of Music, Tel Aviv.  Within the framework of her studies, she takes part in the Conservatory’s cello ensemble as lead cellist and also plays in the Conservatory’s senior Chamber Orchestra.  

 

Recognized as an exceptional student, she performs at special occasions initiated by the Conservatory’s “friends” organization.  

 

Nahar has taken part in masterclasses given by renowned cellists including: Emanuel Gruber, Paul Katz and at a masterclass specializing in Baroque music.  She was singled out as an exceptional musician by the legendary violinist, Itzhak Perlman.

Nahar received a scholarship from Zefunot Culture in 2017 and was offered a place at the prestigious Morningside Music Bridge Summer Course at the New England Conservatory, Boston.

​

Nahar now studies with Professor Hillel Zori.
