Zefunot Culture awarded Haran Meltzer scholarships continuously between the years 2009 and 2015.
Haran Meltzer performed the Saint-Saens cello concerto with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Zubin Mehta. In addition to his perfromances with the Israel Phiharmonic Orchestra, he has performed with the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Israel Camerata Orchestra, the Israel Simfonietta Beer Sheva, the Tel-Aviv Soloists Ensemble and the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra.
Haran performs solo recitals regularly in Israel. In 2012 he won the first prize of the "Lions Club" cello competition in Israel, and the first prize of the "Buchman-Mehta School of Music" chamber music competition.
Haran has received Scholarships from the America-Israel cultural foundation since 2007, and from "Zfunot Tarbut" foundation since 2009.
As of summer 2011, he is a member of the Perlman Music Program. He has taken part in master classes with Uzi Vizel, Hillel Zori, Gary Hoffman, Rafael Wallfish, Frans Helmerson, Ron Leonard, Paul Katz and Lynn Harrell.
His teachers have included Mrs. Luba Rabin and Mr. Emanuele Silvestri. Today he continues his studies with Mr. Zvi Plesser.
