Bardanashvilli’s works are performed by many orchestras in Israel and abroad such as the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Beer Sheva Israel Sinfonietta, the Ra’anana Symphonette, the St. Petersburg Opera Orchestra and the Israeli Opera.
In 1998 Bardanashvilli was named “Composer of the Year” and in 1999 he won the Israeli Academy of Arts Prize. In 2000 he received the Prime Minister's Award.

In order to promote the very special works of Yosef Bardanashvilli, in 2001 Zfunot Tarbut produced a CD entitled “Children of God”. The CD was distributed to all the radio stations and orchestras in Israel and Europe that play contemporary music.
