The members of the Quartet are graduates of the Jerusalem Academy affiliated high school as well as of the Academy itself. They have all won scholarships from the America Israel Cultural Fund and are graduates of the Young Musicians Unit of the Jerusalem Music Center in Mishkenot Shaananim. The Ariel Quartet has performed in concert halls all over Israel and overseas ever since its first live concert from Mishkenot Shaananim in Jerusalem in 2000, which was broadcast live on Israeli radio. Since then they have performed at the Days of Daniel Festival in Holland, the Chopin Academy in Warsaw and have taken part in the Paolo Borciani competition for string Quartets in Italy.
In 2005, their concert tour included the USA, Israel and Germany and Itzhak Perlman invited them to perform at the chamber music summer program. In September 2007 the Quartet won the third prize in the prestigious "Banf International String Competition".
